How long do I have to manage without my teeth? Print E-mail
You do not have to. In case an immediate loading of the jaw bone is possible, a solid provisional solution is placed 24 h after the implantation.
 
How much time is required for placing an implant? Print E-mail
In the past the method was carried out in two steps. The dentist placed the implant which needed from three to six months to heal in the bone. Meanwhile the patient got temporary dentures until the permanent crown could be put onto the implant.

Today there is an alternative:
The implant altogether in one piece is placed during only one visit. Due to this method, the procedure was considerably simplified for the patients.

It depends on different factors which method will be ready for use, e. g. the condition of the other teeth, the number and the position of the teeth to be replaced in the mouth. The factors also determin how many appointments are necessary until the completion of the treatment.
 
Is the treatment painful? Print E-mail
In case of any surgical operation pain can occur. Anaesthesia and sedation are used to stop pain during the operation. After the operation most of the patients stated that they felt far better than they had expected.
