Dental implants are man-made ‘tooth roots’ providing  a support for dental restorations, such as crowns, bridges or one or more false teeth. As a permanent fixture to the jaw bone the dental implants are anchored and the bone cells grow onto the implant. This process is called osseointegration. Implant systems mainly differ in their shape and in the way they are inserted into the  jaw bone.

“Crested” dental implants are screw, pin or cylinder implants and tallied with the tooth axis they are fixed in the jaw. Most of them require a healing time of several months to be integrated with the jaw-bone. During this time they cannot be loaded by a dental restoration. As a minimum 10 mm or more in the height of the bone is needed for the placement of an implant  otherwise, bone has to be  added (augmented) to the jaw. Image

Base  Implants have got the shape of an inverted T (a disk) and are anchored firmly at the side of the jaw-bone. The secure support is effected by the solid outer wall of the bone, naturally richly supplied with blood. Base Implants may be loaded immediately. Due to their particular shape, these dental implants can guarantee a stable healing into the jaw-bone, even if a poor height of your dental ridges or a progressing atrophy of the jaw-bone is given.

For more than thirty years the placement of Base Implants has been successfully practised up to now and a lot of experience has been gained so far. The placement of Base Implants urgently demands certified implantologists, further qualified and well-experienced  in dental implantology, especially in the field of Base Implants.  Base Implants may be loaded after a few days and Base Implants achieve striking and outstanding results with regard to their
long-term durability.

Fast and securely towards new firm teeth

Modern Base Implants gradually displace dental bridges and dentures, as they mean for the person in need not only a capacity for chewing his food but also a capacity for maintaining  his quality of life. In case of progressing atrophy of the jaw-bone and when an enormous loss of bone tissue is given, Base Implants complete the repertoire of  the well-experienced dental implantologist and enable our patients to enjoy firmly attached teeth. Several months for the healing and integration of the implant into the jaw can frequently be omitted accordingly, patients do not have to get along without solidly fixed teeth during their treatment.
